project pageThe "Borke" project is a two-unit residential building designed to strike a balance between functionality, aesthetics, and privacy. This project was conceived in response to contemporary needs, while taking into account the specific constraints of the site. Given the limited land area, the primary goal was to optimize space usage and create a comfortable, modern living environment for the residents. In the design, each unit is divided into two main sections: the private section, which includes the bedrooms and receives light from the street, and the more public section, which includes the living areas and receives its light and views from the courtyard. This clear separation of spaces defines the boundaries between private and public areas, offering the residents a more functional and comfortable space. To further emphasize this division and increase privacy, each unit was designed as a duplex. This decision allowed for the inclusion of parking and elevated the units above street level, creating a more secluded and private living environment. This move offers both visual and functional separation from the public space, providing a sense of calm and autonomy for the residents.

project pageA duplex residential project, where the main challenge was how to make the most of the sunlight from the front. Ultimately, we were able to connect the interior space to the courtyard with deep and semi-deep balconies and provide the necessary light. In addition, the project's voids and voids were formed based on a specific formal pattern to create a distinctive visual identity and form. The design of this project was also completed this year.

project pageSadra Project involves the redefinition and expansion of a building that has evolved over three stages across approximately 30 years. It is currently being reorganized into a hybrid complex with commercial, industrial, and residential functions, located in a workshop-dominated, industrial zone. The initial structure was built about 30 years ago as a small commercial unit. Around ten years later, a rear extension was added, and in the third phase, approximately ten years ago, a larger and structurally more resilient section was appended to the rear. All three phases were developed in a single level and constructed sequentially. The plot is approximately 11 meters wide, with half of it set back in agreement with the eastern neighbor to create vehicular access to the rear of the site. The ground floor was initially used for commercial purposes and also served as an entrance to the industrial workshop located at the back.

This villa reflects a synthesis between contemporary architectural language and traditional environmental strategies to achieve both functionality and aesthetic impact.

project pageThe Grid project is a two-story villa located in the city of Hashtbandi, featuring a large three-bedroom unit on the ground floor and a smaller two-bedroom unit on the first floor. In the design of this villa, the grid system has been utilized as a tool for spatial organization. These grids not only contribute to the appropriate division of interior spaces, but also create areas of solid and void with varying spatial values. However, the dimensions of the grids are not fixed and are adjusted according to the spatial requirements of the project. This network structure, in addition to influencing the internal layout and defining open and semi-open spaces, plays a significant role in the building’s form. The extended walls formed by these grids not only help organize the spaces, but also create diverse shadows, giving each section of the building its own unique character and identity.
Hashtbandi
project pageThis project is located in Hashtbandi City, Hormozgan Province, an area characterized by a hot climate and intense sun exposure. The design of the building responds directly to the local climate and surrounding context, where the considerations of privacy and proximity to neighboring buildings played a crucial role in shaping the form and overall composition. The building form is oriented east-west to optimize daylighting from the south and north while minimizing direct sunlight from the west. This approach ensures effective shading and energy efficiency in the hot climate. The ground floor consists of one unit, and the first floor contains two units. One of the main challenges of the project was maintaining the value of the upper floors despite limited access to the courtyard. To address this issue, a conventional staircase was avoided for access to the first floor. Instead, the circulation was designed so that residents of the first floor enter through a more private courtyard, exclusive to the upper units. This design not only preserves privacy but also maintains a logical and functional relationship between the floors, enhancing the value of the upper units.

Attention to the unique weather conditions of Hormozgan, one of the hottest regions in Iran, is clearly reflected in the design. The main goal of this project is to create a space that is both functional and efficient, while effectively addressing environmental challenges such as extreme heat and the need for natural ventilation.

According to Minab News, the Minab Electricity Authority project, designed by Faramarz Architecture Office, has received an Honorable Mention in the prestigious International Design Awards (IDA). This achievement was awarded to this project due to its design that is appropriate for the hot and humid climate of the region and its attention to the principles of sustainable architecture.
